I speak from the heart.

Some of my friends were bothered by my recent Facebook wall posts and shoutouts. They thought most of my posts were melancholic, weird, if not confused. It seems to them I’m going through the so-called “soul searching.”

The fact, however, is that I’m simply living my life and speaking from my heart.

POST 1: It seems that “break the rule” is the RULE these days. So to really break the RULE and stand out, you have to follow the rule.

I’m simply fed up with that call to action, “break the rule.” No wonder we are living in the world of chaos, literally. So maybe this time–personally–I’ll “go with the flow.”

POST 2: Beautiful things placed in the heart and the mind are exuded to your outer physical appearance. That is why kind, smart, loving and happy people are always literally good-looking, good companion, and a real stand-out. NO EXCEPTION! So to be beautiful outside is to plant beautiful things within. Then, you’ll witness a miracle!

My niece Gelay would usually say, “Mas mabuti na’ng pangit ang panlabas na kaanyuan, basta’t maganda ang kalooban” (Better to have an unpleasant physical appearance, so long as to have beautiful character).  By then, I would say, “Isn’t it much better to be beautiful both inside and out?” Because, frankly, lack of one thing is also lack of the other. It works both ways.

POST 3: I think that it’s easier to hurt the people you love than those you are indifferent of or hate. But in the end, it is you who are truly hurt and wish could still mend things.

I simply miss Gerald.

POST 4: When you are an HRM {Hotel and Restaurant Management} course student, joining seminar in a luxury hotel, you’re being served by waiters and attendants who were also graduates of the same course. To be served is self-indulgence, but to serve is perfect work.

It was a day at Sofitel Philippines. We conducted a short orientation to would-be HRM graduates of Manuel S. Enverga University. Standing by, I was able to talk to some of the attendants of that hotel. Their jolly appearance and willingness to serve (us and these students) made me think they deserve a better job. But hey, as yet,  it’s what they do best.
